Terms of Service
Last updated: November 2, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to everyone who requests a quote on topcleaningcrew.com, books a cleaning, or signs a service agreement with Tops, LLC d/b/a Top Cleaning Crew (“TCC,” “we,” “us”). “You” means the person booking and the owner or tenant of the property we clean. By requesting a quote, booking a service, or letting us into your home, you agree to these Terms. If a signed service agreement says something different, the signed agreement controls.
Questions: call or text (941) 909-2655 or email topcleaningcrew@gmail.com.
1. Quotes and pricing
- Online quotes are estimates. Prices from our Instant Quote page, chat, text or email are based on what you tell us: home size, bedrooms, bathrooms, condition, pets and extras. They are estimates until confirmed at your first visit.
- If the home is different than described. If square footage, rooms, condition or clutter differ from your quote, our cleaner will contact TCC before starting. We will give you a revised price. You can approve it, reduce the work to fit the original price, or cancel. A cancellation at that point is charged as a lockout (Section 3.5).
- First deep clean. Homes rated “Needs attention” or worse, and recurring plans that start with a deep clean, are charged the deep-clean price for the first visit and the recurring price after that.
- Recurring pricing. Recurring rates depend on keeping your schedule. If you skip visits or change to a less frequent plan, the next visit may be charged at the new frequency’s rate, or as a deep clean if the home needs it.
- Price changes. We may change recurring prices with at least 30 days notice by text or email.
- Tips are welcome but never required. 100% of tips go to your cleaner.
- Office and commercial contracts. All office and commercial quotes are subject to an on-site walkthrough for final verification before a price is confirmed. Taxes and fees are charged as required by Florida law.
2. Booking and payment
- Card required to book. A valid credit or debit card is required to confirm any booking. Your card is stored securely by our payment processor; TCC does not keep your full card number.
- Authorization hold. When you book, we may place a temporary authorization hold on your card for the price of the cleaning to confirm the card is valid. A hold is not a charge. Unused holds are released by your bank, usually within a few business days.
- When you are charged. We charge the full price of your cleaning 24 hours before your scheduled service. For recurring service, we charge 24 hours before each visit.
- Changes after the visit. Extras added on the day, or a revised price you approved under Section 1.2, are charged after the visit.
- Declined cards. If your card is declined at the 24-hour mark, we will text you. If we can’t collect payment before your appointment, we may cancel the visit, and the cancellation terms in Section 3 apply.
- Authorization. By booking, you authorize TCC to charge your card for services, extras, and any fees in these Terms.
- Disputes. Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank. We will work with you to make it right.
3. Cancellations, rescheduling and lockouts
Our cleaners reserve their day for you and turn down other work, so late changes cost them pay.
| When you cancel or reschedule | What you pay |
|---|---|
| More than 48 hours before your appointment | Nothing. Cancel or reschedule free. |
| Between 48 and 24 hours before | $100 cancellation fee. $50 of it is credited to your rescheduled cleaning if you rebook within 30 days. |
| Less than 24 hours before | Full price of the cleaning (already charged under Section 2.3). You may reschedule the cleaning you paid for, with a $50 return-trip fee. |
| Cleaner can’t get in (lockout) | Full price is kept, and a $50 return-trip fee applies when the cleaning is rescheduled. |
- How to cancel. Call or text (941) 909-2655, or reply to your appointment reminder. Notice counts from when we receive it.
- Rescheduling follows the same timing as cancelling: free more than 48 hours ahead, otherwise the fees above apply.
- Credit. The $50 credit applies to one rescheduled cleaning within 30 days, cannot be redeemed for cash, and expires if not used.
- Recurring plans. Each visit is treated separately. Skipping one visit follows these timing rules.
- Lockouts. If our cleaner arrives and can’t get in for any reason (no one home, wrong code, key missing, gate locked, unsafe conditions or an aggressive pet), they will wait 15 minutes and try to reach you by phone and text. If they still can’t get in, they will leave. The visit is charged in full. We will reschedule your cleaning, with a $50 return-trip fee for the cleaner to come back.
- Our cancellations. If we must cancel because of weather, illness or an emergency, we will tell you as soon as possible and reschedule at no charge, or refund anything you paid for that visit.
4. Valuables and lost items
Please put valuables away before every visit. If it would hurt to lose it, lock it up or take it with you.
- What to secure. Cash, jewelry, watches, medications, firearms, important documents, credit cards, keys, small electronics, collectibles and anything with sentimental value. Keep them in a locked drawer, safe or room our cleaners will not enter.
- Fragile items. If something is fragile, unstable or easily knocked over, such as glassware, figurines, heirlooms or loose decor, please put it away in a safe place before your cleaning.
- Not responsible for lost or misplaced items. TCC is not responsible for cash, jewelry, valuables or other items that are lost, misplaced or missing and were left out in the open.
- Items moved while cleaning. Our cleaners move small items to clean under and around them and put them back as close to where they found them as they can. If you can’t find something after a visit, contact us within 24 hours and we will ask your cleaner where it was placed.
- Rooms not to clean. Tell us about any room, closet or area you do not want cleaned or entered. Close and label it if you can.
- Theft. All TCC cleaners pass a background check. If you believe something was stolen, contact us within 24 hours and file a police report. We will cooperate fully with any investigation.
5. Access, preparation and safety
- Access. Make sure we can get in during your arrival window: be home, or give us a door code, lockbox or key. Codes and keys are stored securely and shared only with your assigned cleaner. Tell us about alarms and gate codes before your visit.
- Arrival window. We give you an arrival window, not an exact time. Traffic and earlier jobs can shift arrival within that window.
- Utilities. Running water, hot water and electricity must be on. Without them we can’t clean, and the visit is treated as a lockout.
- Before we arrive. Pick up clutter, laundry and dishes so we can clean surfaces, not tidy them. Time spent decluttering may reduce what we can clean in the time booked.
- Pets. Secure any pet that may be aggressive, anxious or likely to escape. We are not responsible for pets that get out when doors are opened for normal cleaning.
- What we don’t do. For everyone’s safety, our cleaners will not:
- clean blood, bodily fluids, human or animal waste, vomit, or pest droppings
- treat mold or pest infestations, or clean hoarding conditions
- climb higher than a 2-step stool, or clean surfaces over 10 feet high
- move furniture or items heavier than 25 pounds
- touch firearms, ammunition, drugs or drug paraphernalia
- clean outdoor areas, garages or lanais unless booked as an extra
- Respectful environment. Our cleaners are entitled to a safe, respectful workplace. If a cleaner is harassed, threatened or put in unsafe conditions, they may stop and leave, and the visit is charged in full.
- Products. Our cleaners bring their own professional products and equipment. Tell us in advance about allergies, surfaces that need special care (marble, natural stone, hardwood), or products you want us to use or avoid.
6. Satisfaction guarantee, damage and liability
- Satisfaction guarantee. If you’re not happy with any part of your cleaning, tell us within 24 hours with photos. We’ll send a cleaner back within 48 hours to re-clean those areas at no charge. If you’re still not happy after the re-clean, we’ll refund the price of that visit.
- Final walkthrough. When you’re home, your cleaner will ask you to walk through about 20 minutes before they finish, so anything missed can be fixed right then.
- Before and after photos. Our cleaners take before and after photos of each area cleaned. Photos show the cleaning only and are used for quality checks and to resolve claims. They are never posted publicly without your permission.
- Damage. Report any damage within 48 hours of your cleaning, with photos. We’ll review it with your cleaner and the job photos. For verified damage our cleaner caused, TCC will repair, replace or reimburse the item at its fair market value, up to $100 per visit.
- What we are not responsible for:
- normal wear and tear, pre-existing damage, or items that were loose, cracked or poorly installed
- fragile or unstable items left out that should have been put away (Section 4)
- stains, hard-water deposits or damage that cleaning cannot remove
- damage from products or methods you asked us to use
- Limit of liability. Except where the law does not allow it, TCC’s total liability for damage is limited to $100 per visit, and for any other claim to the price of the cleaning involved. TCC is not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
7. Other terms
- Hiring our cleaners directly. We recruit, vet, insure and schedule every cleaner we send. While you are a client and for 12 months after your last visit, you agree not to hire any cleaner you met through TCC directly or through another company. If you do, you agree to pay TCC a placement fee of $3,000.
- Text messages and calls. By requesting a quote or booking, you agree that TCC may contact you by phone, text and email about your quote, appointments, reminders and service. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of texts at any time. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Marketing texts are sent only if you opt in separately.
- Your information. We use your name, contact details, address and home details only to quote, schedule and provide service. We never sell your information.
- Online quote tool. The website and quote tool are provided “as is.” Prices shown are estimates (Section 1).
- Changes to these Terms. We may update these Terms. The version posted on topcleaningcrew.com when you book applies to that booking. Recurring clients will be told about material changes by text or email.
- Florida law. These Terms are governed by Florida law. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of Manatee County, Florida.
- Severability. If any part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
